Modo: Circus with Purpose

Together with Athena Solutions this project involved working with a youth development group to explore the feasibility and implications of moving from their current premises to a new space in the centre of Peterhead.

Modo  uses the skills and thrills of circus to help young people improve life chances, skills, confidence and self-esteem while celebrating and creating the culture and community of the region.

Our role included helping Modo and young people coming there to critically review their current premises and potential new premises. This helped identify their most important aspects, resulted in agreement to move premises (to a former sports shop) and allowed us to put together a sketch design illustrating how their new premises could look.

This was developed further through lots of feedback, cost estimates prepared for the work and the business plan finalised.
