Citizen Spire,

Working in collboration with Ian Moir, artist and curator of the very wonderful Fire Station Creative, as well as a diverse range of other local artists, this conceptual project envisaged a place for the idea of Citizenship to be discussed, understood and debated.

Envisaged as a 300ft tall structure, on an unknown site, the structure would be used to house a contemporary arts space,  citizens’ assembly chamber, viewing platform and offices.

Sam Foster Architects’ contribution was this hand-drawn blueprint depicting floor plans and a section through the building to help give a feel for the scale, arrangement and conceptual simplicity of the monument.
